Staff Perspective
Check-in allows visitors (for pick-up order type only) to notify staff about their arrival into a specific spot, where they can be easily found. Before a set amount of time, they will have an option to check in on the homepage of the web app.
Check-in Settings can be found at Control Panel -> Location info -> Check-in settings.
Not only you need to manage settings, but also to create or rather register check-in spots in the system.
It can be done at Menu -> Check-in Spots module.
Customer Perspective
What customer actually sees:
After finishing order customer will have an ability to check in. This ability comes with a form, that will appear on web app home page x minutes before order is ready (this value you set at check-in settings). This is how it looks like on Caffe Appsuite example:
