APPSUITE DELIVERY WITH DOORDASH
Adding delivery with DoorDash to your online ordering program does not require additional software purchase or installation. Your menu will NOT appear on the DoorDash website. This integration allows you to use DoorDash drivers for online orders through your own branded platform using the Appsuite mobile app.
Monthly Billing
You will not ever receive a bill from DoorDash. Your monthly invoice from Appsuite for DoorDash services will be sent separately from other services and will include an $11 monthly subscription cost; a per delivery charge (currently $8 per order) which reflects the per delivery fee that DoorDash charges Appsuite; and a fee (3% of billed charges) to cover credit card billing costs associated with providing the service.
The monthly invoice will also bill for DoorDash tip totals because you’ll receive DoorDash tip money to your bank account through the ordering process. Appsuite remits the tip money to DoorDash, which has already paid out tips to their drivers.
Total Cost = $11 Monthly + $8 per delivery order + total delivery tips + 3% billed charges
Delivery Settings
We’ll create the new delivery method for you and configure it with settings you provide for the following:
- Driver Pickup Instructions(go to the hostess station or bar, use the back door, etc.)
- Business Phone Number a driver can use to call your business with questions
• Delivery Fee Amount (single delivery charge or combination with service fee or item pricing)
Determine the flat delivery fee you’ll charge your customers based on what the new service will cost you and what other businesses are charging for delivery in your area.
Also consider whether you want to combine (or not) a lower delivery fee with a broader service fee (percentage or dollar amount) for all online orders AND/OR with alternate pricing for any or all online menu items, slightly higher than your in-store prices.
Online ordering pricing can be programmed to any menu item(s) in Micros on a designated price level. We then assign that price level (for any or all items) in Appsuite ACROSS ALL ORDER METHODS. NO SPECIAL ITEM PRICING JUST FOR DELIVERY.
Tip Default & Reporting
DoorDash requires the tip to default in the app at 15%, but guests have the ability to select different rates, including a custom amount (even 0%). The tip will necessarily default at 15% for all order methods, not just for delivery.
We’ll add an online ordering “Delivery Employee” number to your POS, where online ordering tips for delivery will be assigned and can be tracked in your Micros reports. Tips for other online takeout order methods are assigned to the online ordering “Takeout Employee” number, we add to your POS for Micros report tracking and distribution as you see fit.
