If you need to restore services or clear error messages such as the error message below, this FAQ document will walk you thru the process of restarting Omnivore services.
On the POS server, follow these steps:
Restart Agent Service
If the back house computer is online and has access to the internet, we recommend restarting the POS Agent service using these steps:
- Click the Windows Start button
- Click Run
- Type in "services.msc"
- Click OK and a new window for Services will open
- In that window, scroll down until you see the POS Agent and POS Agent Updater services
- Right click on the POS Agent and click Restart or Start (whichever isn't grayed out)
- A progress bar will appear, wait until it finishes
- Right click on POS Agent and click Refresh
- In the Status column to the right of POS Agent it should say Started
- Right click on the POS Agent Updater and click Restart or Start (whichever isn't grayed out)
- A progress bar will appear, wait until it finishes
- Right click on the POS Agent Updater and click Refresh
- In the Status column to the right of the POS Agent Updater it should say Started
